At this point in our (admittedly brief) history of covering what former Details cover guy Pharrell Williams does every seven days, we have to wonder whether or not the man has ever had what one might call a "normal" week. Because having a hamburger named after you and being placed on the poster for one of the highest-ranking shows on television is anything but run-of-the-mill.
MTV reported on Thursday that Pharrell's longtime friend and collaborator Nigo (he's the creative mind behind A Bathing Ape, among other projects) named a cheeseburger after him that will be served at Nigo's 2-5 Café in Tokyo. The biggest differences between this sandwich and others in its category are that it's namesake has won seven Grammy awards, and that it comes with a special "chunky sauce" whose contents we were unable to identify.
We can, however, put our fingers on how distinctly cool Pharrell looks in the new poster for The Voice, the singing reality competition show he joined as a judge earlier this year. In it he appears to be wearing an all-black version of the Adidas track jackets he was spotted in at the Grammys earlier this year. That image (Pharrell on the red carpet, sporting a red jacket and the now infamous Vivienne Westwood hat), was included in Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed List, which the singer is included in this year. And he's in good company: Details' style director Eugene Tong also made the cut.
