The Best Invisible Tub: Stern McCafferty's Inspiring Bathroom Design

An aquarium-like bathroom centerpiece.

While home restoration for design enthusiasts/exhibitionists may seem like a niche market, it's one the Boston-based architecture and design firm Stern McCafferty has boldly embraced. The firm recently debuted an invisible tub in a renovated rowhouse covered in a recent issue of Boston Home. A sheet of glass was inserted between two tile walls to create the structure, which serves as the focal point of the bathroom. It's so incredibly simple and yet a real source of interior inspiration. While we've never considered bathing in a human-size aquarium before, we suddenly see the appeal of it.
