Move over, Glee. Pitch-Perfect's ensemble cast and wickedly funny humor will pitch-slap audiences.

Glee is great, but it's so . . . earnest. Enter Pitch Perfect, a wickedly funny send-up of a cappella written by 30 Rock scribe Kay Cannon, about a jaded college freshman (Anna Kendrick) who persuades a girl group to update their corny repertoire with tunes by Bruno Mars and La Roux. Thanks in part to the hilarious ensemble cast—including John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks as "commentators," Adam DeVine as a douche-y soloist, and Rebel Wilson as a droll group member—the film is a refreshingly jaundiced take on the world of competitive singing. Out October 5.
