Jake Sargent and Daniel Corrigan—the new duo behind the brand Simon Miller—quietly released a small denim collection last spring. Picked up by the likes of Barneys and Steven Alan, their jeans feature perfectly executed washes and very subtle branding.
This fall marks another debut for the team: knitwear. Hitting the shelves exclusively at Barneys in September, the new sweaters maintain the rugged ease that we have come to expect from the brand. Heavy on texture but otherwise subdued, a focus on yarn treatment is key for many of the styles, with ombre stripes, donegal-like flecks, and heathered grays all in play. The shawl-collar felted cardigan (pictured above) is a collection standout, with its washed-out pattern and natural horn buttons. Try wearing it as a piece of outerwear this fall when the temperature starts to drop.
