You may not think of A&E as a home for riveting drama, but the two-night, four-hour medical thriller Coma—co-executive-produced by Ridley and Tony Scott—is as good as a TV miniseries gets. A remake of a 1978 Michael Douglas film, it stars Lauren Ambrose as a med student curious as to why patients being admitted to an Atlanta hospital for routine surgeries keep winding up brain-dead. Let's just say these procedures aren't covered under Obamacare.
Coma airs September 3 and 4 on A&E.
