For its latest campaign, UK-based brand Belstaff tapped the ultimate strapping Englishman: David Beckham. In the video, the retired soccer star dons a motorcycle jacket and rides a two-wheeler around an open field—the preferred pastime of handsome men everywhere. At intervals, Becks frowns or squints handsomely at the camera. We're pretty much convinced that buying a waxed canvas jacket will make us look this cool, too. (E!)
Public School is officially in session. On Monday night, designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osbourne won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, beating out runners-up JC Obando and jewelry designer Marc Alary for the $300,000 prize. The clothier has collaborated with New Belgium Brewing on California Route, a tasty blend of "citrusy Cascade hops and a heavy dose of noble Hallertau." Issey Miyake's Tokyo concept store Reality Lab carries a new menswear counterpart to Pleats Please, Miyake's women's diffusion collection launched in 1993. DubbedHomme Plissé, the new pieces are heavily pleated (naturally) and include everything from T-shirts to cardigans. (Fashion Headline)
