In particular, he notes the "shift in menswear from a more formal and structured way of dressing to an easier, looser way of putting looks together," and spotlights several designers playing with texture and juxtaposing sportswear with more tailored pieces.
Other trends: white-on-white-on-white and the American adoption of European styles of dressing. Marden's favorite look from the shows? The varsity-style jackets from J.Crew and DKNY.
