We Want It: A Sweater Designed for Non-Sweater Weather

Are you ready for transitional dressing?

If you live anywhere even remotely close to Details HQ, you'll know that it's been hot, humid, and generally not great outdoors recently. So is it any surprise that we're longing for it to cool down enough to be able to slip into some of our favorite fall pieces?

Still, it's going to be a long, uncomfortable wait before it's time for heavy wool coats and leather boots again, so for now the best we can do is a sweater like this one from the good people at J.Crew. The wool-and-alpaca blend of this model, lovingly named the Sedona, is warm, but it's also lightweight enough to work on those rare evenings when the wind picks up enough to mimic a cool breeze.

The $80 piece is available in four colors at J.Crew now (this muslin-toned version is great, but wait til you see it in charcoal), and it's so versatile you'll be wearing it as long as the mercury continues to drop. Think of it as getting one piece of your fall shopping done early.
