We Want It: Band of Outsiders Designed Starbucks' Latest Travel Mug

An easy way to give your morning coffee a big dose of style.

There is no shortage of people for whom the pre-coffee hours of the morning are the least stylish of the day. But the mug Band of Outsiders designer Scott Sternberg created for Starbucks will definitely change that.

The $15 ceramic travel tumbler will be available through Starbuck's website starting today, and will make its way to some 9,000 brick-and-mortar locations by the 24th. The stuff you see streaming down the sides of the cup was inspired by Sternberg's favorite slang term for coffee: drip.

He isn't the first designer to partner with Starbucks on a mug. In past years, Rodarte, Alice + Olivia, Charlotte Ronson, and Jonathan Adler have created drinkware for the coffee powerhouse. But Sternberg is the very first menswear guy to collaborate with the brand. So who knows, maybe this time next year we'll be drinking out of a cup designed by Michael Bastian?
