The Highs (and Lows) of the Coming Week.

The Buy

Take a luxury brand, add a celebrity guest designer, throw in "for a limited time only," and, voilà, you get buzz. Gucci teams up with Mark Ronson to offer a limited-edition sneaker designs at a temporary store that will open on Crosby Street in New York October 24 and close two weeks later. Additional Ronson sneaker designs will debut in Miami, London, and Tokyo. For more info: 877-482-2444

The Tube

Crazy killer dad, scream queens, and heaps of adolescent angst all shoved together on the same plate—perfect for a Friday-night guilty pleasure. MTV enters the world of teen slasher flicks on October 23 at 10 p.m. ET, with the original movie My Super Psycho Sweet 16. Stay home and tell everyone you're watching "the game."

The Event

Proudly celebrating its 30th year of debauchery, Key West's Fantasy Fest is summoning villains, vixens, and vampires to come one and all October 23 through November 1 and enjoy offerings like a monster ball, a lingerie party hosted by Playboy model Kristy Morgan, and a fetish dungeon where anything goes. Oh, and a wet T-shirt contest, of course.

The Game

The NBA tips off its season with what should have been last year's Eastern Conference Finals showdown: the Cavaliers vs. the Celtics in Cleveland. We'll soon know how much that bout of the flu took out of LeBron. (October 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET, TNT)

The Screen

Let's see. Saw VI? If you didn't manage to catch I, II, III, IV, or V, why bother? And a moving biopic of pioneering pilot Amelia Earhart starring Hilary Swank? Good God, pass. Instead, try going for an oldie but a goodie: Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas, re-released in 3-D on October 23.
