The Subject: Cuan Hanly, Brand Director of Jack Spade
The Watch: Vintage Elgin 25 Jewel Auto Movement
The Details:"I picked it up at the Ventura County Fair in a box of broken watch carcasses. My eye was attracted to the great orange-and-black color combination on the enameled bezel. When I picked it up it seemed to be working perfectly, and it has continued to do so ever since. I love its balance of color, the proportions of the case size, and the face and hand details. Dare I say I only paid $40 for it? It was definitely one of the bargains of that shopping trip!
"Now that we're launching our new watch collection in February 2013, I'm collecting even more vintage watches than usual, but this remains one of my favorite finds."
