At the annual British Fashion Awards hosted by the British Fashion Council across the pond the last night, Burberry scored big with a double victory, nabbing both the Designer Brand of the Year and Menswear Designer of the Year awards.

The latter was handed to Burberry's newly minted CEO, Christopher Bailey (above right), one of our 2013 Tastemakers, marking his fifth BFA. Both Burberry awards came following the brand's first menswear-collection presentation in over 10 years.

The Emerging Menswear Designer award went to Agape Mdumulla and Sam Cotton, the design duo behind Agi & Sam (above middle), who hosted their first standalone runway show at London Collections: Men this summer. J.W. Anderson's Jonathan William Anderson (above left) earned the New Establishment Designer award, which celebrates an up-and-coming designer on the brink of becoming a global brand.

Of course, it wouldn't be an awards ceremony without celebrity attendees. Kate Moss was on hand to receive her Special Recognition Award, and three-time British Style Award winner Alexa Chung passed the torch on to One Direction's Harry Styles, who beat out 19 other well-dressed Brits including David Beckham, Carey Mulligan, Florence Welch, and Kate Middleton for the publicly voted award that recognizes "an individual who most embodies the spirt of British fashion and is an international ambassador of London." Styles was quite surprised (watch his brief acceptance speech, above), telling FashtagTV he only owns "like, two pairs of jeans."

Other award winners of the night included Christopher Kane (Womenswear Designer of the Year), Nicholas Kirkwood (Accessory Designer of the Year), Edie Campbell (Model of the Year), and Prada's Miuccia Prada (International Designer of the Year).
