minced cornichons

minced flat-leaf parsley

minced chives

Parker House rolls, split horizontally

thin slices ham

thin slices Gruyère cheese

slices pickled green tomato or fresh red tomato
Preparation

With a fork, mash the butter, cornichons, parsley, and chives in a bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Spread 1/2 tablespoon of the butter mixture on each roll half and divide the ham, Gruyère, and tomato between the 2 rolls.
