Alobar

Prior to opening in a former Irish pub, Alobar was covered by foodie blogs with breathless anticipation. Luckily, the menu, created by Jeff Blath (ex of West Village staple Jane) and chef Ian Kapitan, has lived up to the hype with a meaty array of plates small (roasted bone marrow with blue-cheese croutons) and large (suckling pig with Cheddar risotto), accompanied by a well-edited list of organic wines and craft beers.
