Native Son

Founded: Los Angeles, 2008, by Kyle Fitzgibbons
Backstory: After working at Band of Outsiders, Apolis Activism, and Bespoken (not to mention designing made-to-measure suits for NBA players), Fitzgibbons launched his own refined line.
Vibe: Tailored menswear with a masculine, elegant bent.
Buy This: The comfortably proportioned double-breasted suit.
Style Icon: "Harold in Harold and Maude. The idea of an old man in a young man's body is really fascinating."
Favorite Store: "Project Aegis in Shanghai, this clothing store started by two Taiwanese kids from Orange County. It's really high-concept rather than just showy, gold-fixture luxury."
(Unlikely) Style Mecca: "Orange County. A lot of artists and designers come out of there. My stuff is a reaction to that repressed culture."

Styling by Eugene Tong. Grooming by Anna Bernabe at Exclusive Artists using Dior Homme. Hair and makeup for Maria Cornejo by Rebecca Plymate at See Management using Leonor Greyl.
