The Health Risk: Researchers have found that noose-like neckties can raise the blood pressure within your eyes—a factor that researchers believe may increase the risk of glaucoma. "A tight tie can reduce circulation of the carotid arteries of the neck going to the eyes and brain," says Moyad. So loosen up a bit and your eyes will thank you.
