The One-Button: The Only Suit to Buy This Season

Two will always be classic. Three comes and goes. But a single-button suit perfectly balances the traditional and the modern. Plus: Garment bags worth showing off.

February 2011 Issue

How to Wear It

(1) Go for the Lean Look
Your shirt and tie should follow the streamlined proportions of your suit, so stick with small collars and trim neckwear.

(2) Don't Overlook Your Belt
Even when closed, a one-button jacket will expose your waist. A skinny belt with a simple buckle is all you need.

Suit ($1,095) and shirt ($275) by D&G. Tie ($150) by YSL. Pocket Square ($115) by Brunello Cucinelli. Belt ($830) and shoes ($1,320) by Tom Ford.
