The Quintessential SUV Gets a Makeover

While supercars are going rugged, Land Rover—a 63-year-old marquee known for vehicles that traverse desert dunes (or, more recently, the beaches of the Hamptons)—is releasing the Range Rover Evoque, its first compact SUV. The two-door, front-wheel-drive Evoque is being marketed as a fuel-efficient, $45,000 whip that can (theoretically) fit into any city parking space.
