Swank factor: Husband-and-wife team Kit and Tim Kemp gave this design-driven hotel (part of their Firmdale Hotels portfolio) a complete makeover and reopened it on June 18. It's more stylish than ever, with 38 individually designed rooms—each with its own color scheme—painstakingly decorated with knickknacks sourced from the couple's global travels. Backdrops feature classic prints like herringbone upholstery and antique floral patterns.
