Why Car Mash-Ups Are All The Rage

Call it the new math: two automakers teaming up to produce one sweet ride.

September 2012 Issue

Bentley Mulsanne
(Bentley + Audi)
$296,000

Combine a luxurious, very British cabin—it requires 17 full cowhides, 170 labor hours, and enough wood to rebuild the Spruce Goose—with the German-engineered suspension of an Audi. The result is a limo-like sedan with a long hood and a relatively short trunk that drives with such verve that you'll give your chauffeur his weekends off.
