The Waldorf Astoria, New York
Many chief administrators, including the current one, have kicked back in the Presidential Suite at Gotham's Art Deco landmark, the Waldorf Astoria. The four-bedroom, 3,100-square-foot 35th-floor apartment recently underwent a significant renovation. Check out this video for some amazing behind-the-scenes access to the suite, which has hosted every president since Herbert Hoover in 1931, and which boasts the desk of Douglas MacArthur in the bedroom and a rocking chair donated by John F. Kennedy. One very interesting detail: You can't check in without a background check.
