Obama Slept Here: 6 Truly Presidential Hotel Suites

As campaign season amps up, President Obama is about to become the Road Warrior in Chief. Not surprisingly, the man has checked into a wide range of presidential suites: from the Ritz-Carlton in Moscow to the Tata Suite at Taj Mahal Palace in India. While you may never have a corner office at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, you can live large like the President by laying your head where he has. Here's a list of some of the chief executive's homes away from home—places where you, too, can check in, sans Secret Service detail, and soak up the Obama aura.

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

The President was born in Hawaii, but that's not necessarily his tropical town of choice. The Obama family has been known to vacation in St. Thomas, and while there they lounged in the Presidential Suite at the Ritz-Carlton. The capacious suite measures 1,850 square feet and includes its own "Wellness Room" and panoramic ocean views. Other highlights include a private terrace, Frette linens, a spacious dining room for eight, a soaking tub, and a treadmill.

Room rate: $1,300 to $6,000 per night
